Several types of profiles are used in production of aluminum windows and doors, such as aluminum with thermal switch (ceased thermal bridge) which is excellent for outer windows and doors and cold aluminum which is used for internal barriers or under equable weather conditions throughout the year. All types of aluminum profiles may be superficially processed, protected and colored by electro-static atomization-often such procedure is being called plasticizing, i.e. anode oxidation. Plastic aluminum profiles can be of any color pursuant to the RAL, which therefore enables an absolute wide color spectrum. Speaking of anodised profiles , we often meet demands for various variations of bronze color and well as raw-aluminum color.
Electro-static atomization (plasticization) of aluminum is the superficial processing of aluminum , where the first profile is to be cleaned in accordance with the specific procedure and after that is painted with the powder-color by an electro-static pistol in an automatic cabin. The color ifs further baked in an owen at 180 C for the purpose of polymerization. Besides smooth surfaces, other structures such as “orange peel” can undergo procedure of plasticization. Baking results with the fusion of powder particles and chemical reaction of poly –condensation and final creation of the colored laying. The process of consolidation is the reaction caused between reactive groups of the polyester resin with the hardening under influence of high temperature, which causes a complex polymer, with the characteristics as follows:
• Extreme water-resistance which provides minimum hydrophilic
• Consistent colors
• High computability with pigments
• Extraordinary adherence to the grounds
• Bending resistance
• Weather conditions and UV resistance
• 70 -100 microns of plastic layer thickness
Anode oxidation of aluminum is the superficial protection, typical for aluminum. Previously cleaned aluminum profiles are to be dipped into electrolytic baths in order to receive positive electron charge. An electrolytic reaction caused oxidation which is specific for plastic profiles. Thickness of plastic layer is 15-20 microns. In such way, aluminum is permanently protected from rust and will get a specific metalized color. The process of anode oxidation is limited to several colors only, such as: natural aluminum color, bronze (from light bronze to black), INOX color (from light to dark) and golden color.
By their solidity, aluminum profiles ensure extraordinary static stability of the built-in elements; also they are extremely light which means they cause far less ballast to hinges, which therefore enables duration of the built-in element. Having wide choice of colors at their disposal architects often use aluminum because it gives them full freedom to achieve their architectonical creations.
We use profiles of the following characteristics for production of the windows and doors:
• Aluminum alloy AIMgSi 0,5 F22, in accordance with German standard DIN 1725
• Electro-static painting in accordance with European standard QUALICOAT
• Anodizing in accordance with European standard QUALANOD
